Take care here to assess the exteriors of the car and cover. If there is any resistance, stop right away. The ice may not have melted away entirely. Pour more warm water before trying again. Make sure you never use boiling water though.

You should also think about the hazing of windows and paint. Airborne pollutants might settle on the vehicle. This can occur when you park an uncovered car or drive one. The pollutants can smear and produce a haze when you use the cover. You are able to wash the haze off with water or wipe it with a damp cloth.
