Frequently asked questions about air chambers

If you are the owner of a car you cherish, you won’t want anything to pose a threat to it. This means taking the right steps to keep it running perfectly and looking amazing. You should look at solutions like air chambers if you don’t want moisture to harm your vehicle. Below are some of the most common questions people ask about this storage solution.

“How does it keep my car dry?”

The amount of water vapour in the air will depend on the temperature because warmer air can absorb more moisture. When air cools it can no longer hold as much of the vapour. Moisture will then appear on surfaces like your car.

With a chamber, air constantly and gently flows through so that the temperature doesn’t change. This prevents any condensation and stops moisture causing your vehicle to rust.

“Is it expensive to run?”

Not at all, the highly efficient fans will produce 50,000 litres of clean air an hour. They are perfect for continuous operation and consume little power. You will be able to enjoy all the benefits of this product with running costs that are under £10 per annum.

“Do I need to use a car cover or dehumidifier?”

These are both unnecessary and can actually cause damage. A cover would restrict air flow, resulting in condensation which is harmful to your car. Also, the use of a dehumidifier would waste energy. In fact, some moisture in the air is good. This is because it stops leather from cracking and the oil seals on mechanical components becoming brittle.

“Should I turn it off in summer?”
