Three decades in the car transportation industry has taught us how to offer the most reliable services. For example, every vehicle and owner is different. Therefore, we must adapt to meet their needs. In addition, they expect us to do everything necessary to keep their property from harm. This is exactly what we will do.
For the vehicle to arrive in top condition there is something every car owner needs to do; get it ready for shipping. Some people may not know what this involves specifically. You don’t have to worry however, as we’re here to tell you what to do.
Tyre pressure
Make certain you check the tyre pressure. The trouble with over-inflated and under-inflated tyres is that it’s dangerous being on the road with them. However, there are also risks during transportation. By failing to inflate your tyres correctly, you’re putting them in danger of damage. This is most likely to happen when loading and unloading the car. You shouldn’t have any issues if they’re inflated properly though.
Remove special accessories and components
You will need to prevent special accessories like car spoilers from breaking in transit. Many often end up ruined due to their peculiar size or shape. Before your car makes its way into the transport truck, take away any accessories or custom components and wrap them for shipping safely.
Leaks
One of the last things you should do is inspect the car for leaks. Have a look at the undercarriage to see if there’s anything out of the ordinary. You don’t want your vehicle to arrive at its destination only to find there is no fuel or fluid because it has leaked. You may also face a penalty for damaging the car transport. Make any necessary repairs before moving day.
